MARKETING AND EVENTS ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

SRQ MEDIA has an opening for a strong communicator, detail-oriented project manager and marketing professional who is able to effectively coordinate the organization, scheduling and deployment of the marketing, events, public relations and community and engagement program platforms of the company by working with internal and vendor teams to achieve specific objectives on deadline. In this position, the Marketing and Events Manager will manage, schedule and deploy marketing for the company's verticals including reader competitions such as Home of the Year, Best of SRQ Local and 35 Under 35 as well as well-established community platforms SB2: Giving Coast Symposia Series and the Women Who Roar Initiative, which includes SMARTgirl and SkillSHARE programs. The individual in this position works closely with the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnership and Engagement and the President/CMO of the company to ensure that the events and programs powered by SRQ MEDIA are delivered on time and on budget, meet engagement objectives and optimize revenue and audience development metrics. This position reports jointly to the SVP of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement and the President/CMO.

The Marketing and Events Manager must possess a positive, go-getter’s attitude, be a team leader with a keen sense of urgency, and be able to demonstrate good judgment, prioritize, work well under deadline pressures, and multi-task to ensure that individual, team and company-wide performance-based metrics are achieved. This is an ideal position for a meticulous professional who is adept at driving implementation and who enjoys coordinating production logistcs, expediting the implementation of marketing and managing deadlines within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Experience: Entry to mid-level position—prior professional marketing and/or communications experience, required. Experience or background in social media, digital marketing, branded events production and project management, strongly recommend.

This position reports to SRQ MEDIA's Executive Publisher Wes Roberts and has responsibility for developing and growing new advertising and marketing opportunities with local businesses interested in engaging influential audiences through our award-winning platform of digital, online, print and engagement assets.
