With sunsets that make you stop dead in your tracks and a mindset to ‘Seas the Day,’ TBV pays homage to our coastal SRQ lifestyle. Your new favorite knock-around tee comes stitched with a tribute to the (941) while embodying the Aussie mantra ‘True Blue Vibes’—an allegiant attitude to live true and live authentic. Or in Tatyana Sharoubim’s words, “No bullsh*t.” SRQ sat down with the local tastemaker and 1st Street maven of T.Georgiano’s Boutique to talk shop about her newly launched fashion line.

How did you get into the fashion industry?  SHAROUBiM  I was born into it—my father had a women’s shoe salon that he opened in 1984 in Raleigh, NC, then later a second location on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. His baby brother also had his establishment, Giorgio’s, that still exists today, in Palm Beach and in Manhattan. So I basically grew up in a shoe store—going on buying trips and working alongside designers like Donald Pliner, Phyllis Poland, Robert Clergerie, Nicole Miller and more. I played in sample closets for many top designers and watched up-close the process, from discussion to sketch to prototype to runway to major fashion magazine. I ended up going to Parsons School of Design in NYC and studied Design Management in all areas including architecture, fashion and graphics, before continuing on to Rollins College for Liberal Arts in Winter Park. I loved it all and what truly stayed with me and I emulate today is the old-school customer service approach.

How did TBV come to be?  It evolved over the last few years. I thought shoes would be the breakthrough, but my love for basic signature tees and emerging graphic trends took me on a road trip. I found myself, whenever I traveled, looking for a destination souvenir—a t-shirt, hat, etc.—but all lacked a fashion-forward approach that I would want to sport beyond lounging at home. I knew I wanted something more boutique-driven and eye-catching, that spoke to all ages. The designs are a tribute to this beautiful lifestyle we live in SRQ. It’s paradise and we all are damn proud to call it home. I wanted to tap into this local pride. As I have blossomed from young adult to ‘real’ adult, I have really found my authentic self as a mother, wife, daughter, designer, friend and entrepreneur. That’s why ‘Live Authentic’ is the brand’s slogan and mission, to inspire people to own who they are and express that with the world. It’s not easy finding it, but it’s incredible when we do.  My clothing line has styles for everyone in the family—women’s tanks and unisex tees, as well as toddler and infant apparel, actually designed by my three-year old son, Byron. The line will be launching nationally for other domestic cities as well and I’m stoked. I plan on future collabs with other labels and designers too, who want custom designs for their studios/business. Sky’s the limit really—I’m taking it one step at a time.
