Founded in 1922 "on a whim" by Chicago socialite Margaret Baxter Foster, The Lake Forest Shop has been dressing discerning women of style for almost 100 years. Located in historic Market Square in downtown Lake Forest, IL, Ellen Stirling now runs the iconic shop after having inherited it from her grandmother, Margaret. With style running through her veins, Ellen continues to keep The Lake Forest Shop on the forefront throughout the decades—standing the test of time as trendy boutiques and Instagram shops come and go. Fashion designer, Bill Blass, has even proclaimed "Lake Forest women to be among the best-dressed in the country," and "Ellen Stirling’s shop is one of the reasons." 

Bringing some of that chic Chicago to sunny Sarasota, Ellen will be coming to town next month to host an exclusive fashion pop-up preview featuring the ALGO Spring/Summer 2021 Collection. She remains a longtime fan of ALGO of Switzerland and longtime friend of the Goetschels, the Swiss family behind ALGO's sophisticated, high-end women's fashion line out of Zürich. This event takes shape as a Champagne Reception at the Hyatt Sarasota, Monday, March 1, from 5-8 pm. Gather the girlfriends and get excited for some springtime fashion amongst champagne and an exclusive sneak peek of ALGO's luxury Spring/Summer 2021 pieces. "Sarasota has such a marvelous reputation for thoughtful and beautifully dressed philanthropists," Ellen says. "I am excited to be bringing some of the world’s finest clothes for them and Sarasota to see!"
