Area Businesses Team Up to Help Breast Cancer Patients

Business

Through October, Brew Life Brewing and Wigs and Hair Extensions of Sarasota have teamed up to help breast cancer patients and survivors. The businesses are raising money to create a scholarship program to help women who are going through chemotherapy to buy a wig. They are also collecting personal care products, such as lotions, essential oils, nail polish, bubble bath, hard candies and more for gift bags. Brew Life Brewing is offering hat and shirt sales as well as food and drink specials at the brewery throughout the month. Thanks to the efforts of Community Day School teacher Cindi Bavry, who is volunteering for this effort, teachers and parents at the school are donating items for the gift bags and purchasing lots of hats to support the cause. On Sunday, October 20, Brew Life hosted Lunch for the Cause, where 100% of all food sales was donated to the wig scholarship fund.
