Shake It Till You Make It

New York has claimed fame with its cult-like following of Shake Shack, and with more modern day roadside burger joints we're beholden to—the In N Outs of California, the Teddy’s Bigger Burgers throughout Hawaii and more recently, BurgerFis in Florida—we’re happy to ride out the wave of upscale, yet fast-casual beefy love here. With widespread appeal expanding quickly to multiple locations nation- and worldwide, Shake Shack officially opens its UTC doors today for lunch after much sizzling local anticipation.

Highly acclaimed for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers and all-natural cage-free chicken sandwiches, both served on a non-GMO Martin’s Potato Roll, those famous crispy crinkle cut fries come close second to stardom, along with the griddled flat-top dogs (sans any hormones or antibiotics). For an ample burger-brew meal of Shack Stack or SmokeShack, guests will be able to wash the classics down with local brews from Crooked Can Brewing Company, Cigar City Brewing and Orange Blossom Brewing Co., or the Shack’s NY exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM wine from the Gotham Project.

The UTC Sarasota Shack will also be spinning a selection of to-die-for frozen custard concretes—specifically tailored and created for each location. Its concrete recipes use only real sugar, no corn syrup and milk from dairy farmers who pledge not to use artificial growth hormones, while its fudge and caramel sauce have zero shelf-life lengtheners (#ZeroGuilt). Best part? The first 100 people in line when doors open at 11am will receive the Shack Attack concrete for free for opening day. And as part of Shake Shack’s continual mission to Stand For Something Good, the UTC Sarasota Shack will also donate 5% of its sales today from its Pie Oh My concrete to Sunshine Community Compost nonprofit.
