Sarasota Orchestra Seeking Community Input on Proposed Payne Park Music Center

Arts & Culture

On March 12 from 6pm to 8pm, Sarasota Orchestra will hold its first community engagement workshop to discuss the proposed plan for locating a new Music Center at Payne Park. Orchestra leadership, with the assistance of HKS Orlando, will present the concept and planning process to date. An internationally recognized architectural and design services firm, HKS is one of the five consultant firms assisting the Orchestra with its overall planning.

The workshop is free and open to the public, and will take place in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall. Following a presentation of the Orchestra's conceptual proposal and broad vision for the siting of a Music Center on seven acres of the 39-acre Payne Park, the community will be invited to ask questions and provide input.
