Sarasota Orchestra Unveils Proposed Music Center Today, Solicits Public Input

Sarasota Orchestra’s annual public informational meeting—the "State of the Orchestra"—will be held today at 3pm in Holley Hall, and this year the Orchestra will share its vision for a new Music Center. This is an opportunity for patrons see the details of this week’s presentation to the City Commission and give public input. The Sarasota Orchestra Music Center is envisioned as a transformational project for the Orchestra, the City of Sarasota and areas around Payne Park. By providing the region with a purpose-built home for acoustic music, the proposed Music Center aims to elevate Sarasota Orchestra's artistic profile, help enable other performing arts organizations to expand offerings and increase the region's economic, social and educational vitality.

The meeting will be held today, March 1, at 3pm in Holley Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
