Aviara Proves Knot Too Bad at Miami Boat Show

Todays News

The newest, and unerringly cool boat brand Aviara, launched at the Miami International Boat Show, February 14–18. Manufactured by the venerable MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc., Aviara’s fine-tune focus on the production of vessels 30-feet and over revealed its first model AV32—creating quite a stir with an elevated open water craft design that “defies compromise.” Having celebrated its international debut docked in the slips for the world to see and experience at the Boat Show, MarineMax also celebrated by proudly announcing itself as the exclusive US distribution partner of the palpable powerhouse. The newly-launched AV32 rig will now be offered chiefly by MarineMax starting this year.

“The Aviara product offers clients a new and legitimate choice in the luxury day boat segment,” says Chuck Cashman, CRO of MarineMax. “The attention to detail coupled with purposeful design hits the mark squarely in the center of the luxury segment. MarineMax is both excited and proud to part of the launch of Aviara.”

And as the nation’s largest boat and yacht retailer, MarineMax continues to only play with the big boys—focusing on premium brands such as Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Hatteras, Azimut Yachts, Ocean Alexander, Galeon, Grady-White, Harris, Bennington, Crest, Scout, Sailfish, Sea Pro, Sportsman, Scarab Jet Boats, Tige’, Aquila, NauticStar, Nautique, Yamaha Jet Boats and now Aviara. The progressive, luxury vessels seek forward-thinking boaters and voyagers who command engineering expertise and undeniable style. “We are excited about the potential of Aviara and believe it fills a void in our product portfolio,” says W. Brett McGill, CEO and president of MarineMax. “MasterCraft has done an outstanding job creating a very stylish, modern and comfortably luxurious brand in Aviara. Boating enthusiasts will recognize the quality and craftsmanship of the brand, which is consistent with MasterCraft’s long legacy of boat-building.”

Headquartered in Clearwater, with a location in Sarasota as well, MarineMax also provides a multitude of ways for its customers to enjoy Florida’s pristine boating lifestyle after they purchase the vessel of their dreams. Such offerings include events, classes, seminars, sandbar activities, Getaways!®and continual service maintenance to keep boats running smoothly. “Factoring in its clear leadership and reputation as a world-class recreational day boat retailer, we chose MarineMax as our distribution partner to ensure that Aviara is successful from day one,” says Terry McNew, president and CEO of MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc. “The market penetration from its national retail footprint and expansive customer database will serve to bring brand awareness to Aviara in unprecedented time.”

Pre-sale activity for Aviara began this month for boats to be delivered to MarineMax dealerships starting on July 1, 2019.
