Manatee County residents have a few more weeks to give input on a set of changes to the County's land development code (LDC).

In works and part of public discussions since December, 2016, the proposed updates to the LDC will bring significant changes to how the County reviews and processes future land development applications. Specifically, according to Planning Manager Lisa Barrett the suggested changes will bring more consistency to the regulations in the County's major planning documents.

Manatee County will hold a public hearing to receive public comments and to consider the amendments to the land development code as described in LDCT-17-07/Ordinance 19-03 on February 5 at 9am in the Patricia M. Glass Commission Chambers at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton. Other scheduled hearings are planned for Feb. 28 during a special Planning Commission hearing, a public hearing before the County Commission on March 7 and a special meeting with the Commission on March 21.
